### Expanding Procurement Access for Local Businesses

Contracting with local government is a powerful mechanism for stabilizing revenue and scaling small enterprises. To help business owners navigate the municipal purchasing ecosystem, the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) is partnering with the Department of Procurement Services (DPS) to host **Doing Business with the City of Chicago**.

This session walks business owners through the city's procurement landscape, outlining supplier registration, competitive bidding procedures, and compliance standards necessary to compete for city contracts.
